RE: Do you have a name for your RV?

We call our Laredo "The Titanic Three" after the old "Trapper John MD TV show of years ago. There has also been a Titanic and a Titanic Too.

RE: Keystone Warranty Issues?

We have a fairly new Keystone Laredo. Last week we had four or five small warranty issues repaired without any problem. Our dealer is Imperial Camper Sales in Newport, MN. They do their best to keep things right.

Allison Transmission Oil Cooler??

Our TV is a 2003 Silverado 2500HD, 8.1, Allison 3.73 gears, with 134,000 miles on it. All of its life it has towed a 22' Prowler TT over much of the US. Now we have upgraded to a new Laredo fifth wheel (265RL)which has a GVW of 10,600 pounds. We normally tow in fourth gear tow mode on at 60 mph. I am wondering if this larger load and larger frontal area would require or would benefit from a larger transmission oil cooler? Any advice or experience you might have concerning adding a larger cooler would be appreciated.

RE: Trying to do things right this time...

When we went from a TT to a Fiver we were concerned about negotiating with the dealer. We found RVGuru.com on line an his service really saved us big $$. He will establish where you are in the deal and then on the phone lay out your next steps. I believe he saved us between $2800 and $3000.00 on our deal and his charge was only $39.95. Check it out and see what you think.

Laredo tire pressure high from dealer

Last week we took delivery on a new Keystone Laredo fifth wheel. It came equipped with Mission (made in China) tires, 225 175 R 15 D. The placard on the camper says to inflate all tires on all axles to 65 lbs., but when I checked them they all contain 90 psi. This fifth wheel can be loaded to 10600 lbs. Is 65 psi adequate or is there a reason it would have been handed off to me with 90 psi in the tires?

Storage cover for front of Laredo fiver

I have found storage for our new 29' Laredo fifth wheel in a nice open fronted pole shed on a nearby farm. The height and width are more than adequate, however the length is four foot short. So the front cap will be exposed to the sun and elements. (The open front faces east) I need advice concerning purchasing a cover for the exposed front. It needs to be of material that will not damage the finish over time. Has anyone had experience with this type of situation or have ideas concerning sources of such a cover?

King Stone Castle Countertop care?

Our new Keystone Laredo has formed counter tops with a small emblem stating "King Stone Castle." Does anyone know if they should be sealed with a protectant or wax before they are used. So far, I haven't been able to find any information in the manuals for the camper.
